COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY

A safe space to talk.

Compassionate, evidence-based talking therapies for individuals, couples, families, teens — and parents of younger children. Face-to-face in Haddenham (near Ely), or online to fit around your life.

WHAT I CAN OFFER

Help for individual adults, couples, families and teens

Are you struggling with stress, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps a loved one — your partner, child or teenager — is going through a difficult time, and it’s affecting the whole family. Life can feel heavy when worry, low mood or relationship strain take over, and reaching out is often the hardest first step.

I’m here to offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can be heard. Together we’ll work through what’s troubling you using gentle, evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) — tailored to your unique story and goals. Whether you come alone, as a couple, or as a family, you’ll be supported every step of the way.

ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Erica.

I offer an integrative talking-therapy approach — drawing on the best techniques from well-researched methods to find the right fit of help for you. I have over 30 years of NHS experience across many different fields of mental health and emotional well-being, and more than 20 years of dedicated psychotherapy practice, working with individuals, couples, families and parents.

I am also a Mum myself, and I know just how hard parenting can be sometimes. My door is open — let’s talk.

MY APPROACH

Gentle, evidence-based therapies tailored to you

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

A well-known, evidence-based talking and practical therapy. The idea behind CBT is simple — if you change the way you think about yourself, others and situations, it can quite magically transform the way you feel. Through gentle, curious Socratic questioning we loosen the habitual traps that perpetuate anxiety and low mood.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

A mindful psychotherapy that encourages staying focused on the present and accepting thoughts and feelings without judgment. It helps you move forward through difficult emotions, freeing your energy for healing and for living a life aligned with what you value. ACT is often more about doing than thinking — and it can be a lot of fun.

I also draw on Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and a Family / Systems lens — weaving these in where they best support your unique journey.
